On September 9th, Apple announced a new product and host of new features to their existing product line! Here we review the highlights of each product category: Apple Watch, Apple iPad, Apple TV & Apple iPhone 6s.

Apple Watch –  Making it’s first debut to the market in Spring 2015, Apple Watch is a contender in the wearables market. Tim Cook and his team announced on September 9th, that Apple watch will be getting an upgrade to it’s operating system adding features new features, such as, Transit: “Making it easier to find and use public transportation,” GoPro, iTranslate and AirStrip used by doctors to keep in touch with their staff and patients. They Should be in select stores sometime in October

Apple Watch Sport is also getting a face lift. Apple Watch is now available in a Gold and Rose Gold finishes with some new band options. Prices start at $349. The Stainless Steel bands have been updated as well. The leather bands are now available in a two-toned black and brown, as well as a soft brown. As customary to Apple tradition, Apple is also releasing a Product Red Stainless Steel watch with a red band. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Product Red Campaign.

iPad  –  Since the eve of iPad 5 years ago, iPad has remained constant in the evolution of technology. During this event, Tim Cook announced the “biggest news of iPad since iPad”, the iPad Pro. With a 12.9 inch screen and 5.6 million pixel display, the iPad Pro will be a contender the in the mobile device industry. Fitting the screen size of the iPad Air with more space for dual screen interaction, the iPad Pro will give consumers a complete full screen tablet experience.

In this version of the iPad, Apple is introducing the A9X (64-bit chip) which is 1.8x faster than it’s predecessor, giving this iPad Desktop Class Performance. This new device will be able to run apps such as iMovie (editing 3screens of 4k video simultaneously), AutoCad 360, with 10 hours of battery life and 4 speakers as opposed to the two on previous versions of iPad. It will be interesting to see how the market changes with the iPad Pro added to the line.

Apple also introduced the Smart Keyboard and the Apple Pencil specifically created for iPad Pro. Apple Pencil is a new and different device brought to the Apple line. Similar to a stylus, Apple Pencil was developed to bring a different writing experience to the user. iPad Mini 4 was also introduced. It is a smaller version of the iPad Air 2 with all of the same features.

Apple TV  –  It has been a few years since we’ve seen something new with the Apple TV. Apple introduced an updated version of Apple TV, incorporating a new app based interface, Siri, the App Store and an interactive remote. The new Apple TV will offer a bit more interactive experience with your Television. The new remote uses Bluetooth technology and lightning connector, lasting 3 months on a single charge.

Available in October.

iPhone 6S & iPhone 6S Plus  –  Now offered in Silver, Space Gray, Gold, and the new Rose Gold, the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus bring a new flare to the familiar iPhone 6 lineup. Featuring a new, more durable layer of glass on the display, the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus Models will showcase a feature called 3D Touch. This feature now recognized force with touch and allows you to view information, photos, etc introduced through the new peep and pop features; allowing you to navigate between content without losing your spot in other apps. The new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus will have a 12 megapixel camera, shoot 4K video and introduces a new component, Live Photos!! Incorporating the powerful A9 64-bit chip, the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus models will be a great slightly more powerful addition to the iPhone product line.
