Ill get straight to the point; BenQ makes a great monitor. Out of the box, you can not only tell that this is a quality monitor but also it was designed with the professional in mind. As I set up the dock & the stand I was surprised by how impressed I was with the design (This is a beautiful monitor). The monitor feels very high end with its super slim bezel & versatile stand. You can not only adjust for height, but you can also pivot the monitor to your liking. The best feature of the monitor, which is actually part of the stand so you miss out if you mount the monitor, is the dock that features four USB 3.0 ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an RJ45 LAN port, DisplayPort 1.2, Mini DP 1.2, DP Out, an HDMI 1.4 slot and best of all a USB-C port that works great with compatible laptops.
The PD2710QC monitor has a 27-inch IPS panel, QHD display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution, a contrast ratio of 1000:1 & a 60Hz refresh rate. It performs very impressively for the price point, with sharp accurate colors, deep darks & shadows, as well as a 5-millisecond pixel response time. This isn’t a perfect gaming or editing monitor but it is better then the average so i would consider it an in between or mid range option. The build in speakers aren’t that loud but being a dock you can pretty easily rectify that by connecting a third party speaker. Gaming on the monitor went relatively well as well as watching movies (4k content looks amazing on this monitor). I would recommend this monitor to anyone transitioning from casual use to professional use in terms of their needs.
