VOISEY: The new TikTok?

One of The Best Music Creation Apps on The Market

In my search for apps that cure temporary boredom, I stumbled on this fun music creation app called Voisey. Some would call this application the TikTok for Musicians.

Voisey was designed for singers, rappers and producers by founders Olly Barnes, Erlend Hauskenand and Pål Wagtskjold-Myran of the UK. The app gives you the choice of sounding like a star on your own, collaborating with other artist with the split screen video effect and allows producers/beat makers to upload their instrumentation directly to the app.

My Personal Experience w/Voisey

You know I went ahead and tried this out for myself. The sign up process was completely painless. As A matter of fact, I literally just connected it to one of my gmail accounts to begin recording.

Next, I hit the pink button at the bottom of the screen and the creating began. There’s a small selection of vocal effects, but a full library of beats from several genres to choose from. My choice was an R&B Groove called Electric Loop 4 by a producer named ArtificialIN. I wasn’t exactly sure what to sing, so I decided to pick the Cheers Theme Song Remake performed by PJ Morton of Maroon 5 over that track. I wouldn’t exactly call my final product star quality, but I’ll just let you be the judge of that. It’s safe to say that Voisey can be quite addictive mainly because of the autotune and vocal correction. Infact, I lost track of time trying to get my song just right and fell asleep around 4AM.

I love this app because it isn’t just for professional musicians, but It’s for beginners and people who just love music as well. If you’re concerned about how good you’ll sound, don’t worry! You have to be intentionally awful to sound bad with the outstanding voice effects provided because the autotune is really out of this world!

For now the app is available for apple iOS devices only and you will need to update your iPhone or iPad to the 11.2 version or later for it to work.
